Shaped by my parents working in health care
Health technology profoundly influenced my childhood. My father is an innovator of a radiotherapy system and my mother's role as an operating nurse, gave me a respect for the health care professionals and there ability to help others. When my mum came home, she had saved several peoples lives and that stayed with me.
As a teenager, I felt driven to contribute positively, blending design, aesthetics, and functionality. Over fifteen years, I have collaborated globally, focusing on user-friendly interfaces that reached millions of users. My goal is to help patients navigate their health journeys. My stroke rehabilitation designs have received several design awards and was featured at the IKEA museum.

Designing with care and explain data in a beautiful manner

When I create the stroke rehabilitation app Animo, on of the goals was to ensuring playfulness and invest in the insight part of the app, because patient need to stay motivated. One therapist told me “ if the patient can’t relate the exercises to their everyday life, it isn’t relevant”. I love interviewing both patiens and heath care staff, often they have the same end goal (better health) however the path to get there can look very different.
When leading the design re-design of the Air app, I remember that the accuracy of the inhalation test, was crucial experiences to validate with the users. Designing with care and explain data in a beautiful manner, was important cornerstones to lean into.
